The mission of the Career Services Center is to produce viable opportunities
for our students to obtain gainful employment as expeditiously as possible
through direct assistance and innovative job preparation sessions conducted
by the Career Services Director. The department’s primary goal is ensure
students are employed within their chosen field of study upon successful
completion of their training.
Currently, the department is operated by the VP of Human Resources, Elena Liggins
and Career Services Assistant, Maria Rodriguez. Both Elena and Maria have been with
Anamarc over three years and understand the challenges our graduates face when
entering the workforce. You can be assured they are committed to providing you
with the assistance you need to find a job as swiftly as possible.
Furthermore, the Career Services Center accommodates all vocational students in
externship sites that provide training in a conducive learning environment.

Please refer below to the most commonly asked questions related to externship and placement.
1. Can I start my externship early?
You are able to start volunteer services through your initiative,
but the hours are not applied to the externship phase.
The externship is the last class and successful completion of all
classroom courses is a prerequisite for the externship phase.
2. Can I finish my externship early?
The externship cannot be accelerated. It is based on the same rules
as if you were attending class in school. You can complete additional
hours above the 120, but must maintain your attendance for the entire term.
3. Can I change externship sites?
Yes, you are able to change externship sites, but there are a few guidelines to follow.

4. Does the Career Services Center provide placement assistance outside of El Paso?
Yes, the Career Services Center does provide placement assistance in other
areas within the United States. Please contact the Career Services Director
with ample notice prior to your move.
